Our Building

Samuel Bissell Elementary School is the 2nd and 3rd grade building in the Twinsburg City School District.

Samuel Bissell Elementary School opened in 1964 and was named to honor The Reverend Samuel Bissell.  Reverend Bissell was devoted to education and opened one of the first schools in Twinsburg.  In the 2014-2015 school year, Bissell celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary.

In 2016, Samuel Bissell Elementary School was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education.

Student Council

We are excited about our Bissell Student Council.  Each class conducts their own nomination and voting process. Nominations are based upon:

- responsibility

- academic performance

- attendance

- dependability

- cooperation

Student Council Advisor: Mrs. Miller

Our student council strives to make a difference in our school by performing tasks throughout the school, sponsoring fund raising events, planning spirit days and more. Check our front page "Bissel News" for information about Student Council activities.
